Sam was born and raised in Sterling, Virginia. After spending 18 years in Northern Virginia, he attended the University of Alabama. After graduating, he worked for the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies for the United States Senate. In 2018, Sam decided to make the jump to paradise and sell real estate.
